History about Morgan & Mallet School - The Villa Training Center
The creation of a training school entirely dedicated to domestic staff can be a difficult mission to accomplish.
After several years of reflection, and noting a significant lack of qualified domestic staff, the Morgan & Mallet teams decided to take up this magnificent challenge.
Laurine Mallet and Morgan Richez, founders of the Morgan & Mallet Group, created this school at the beginning of 2023 in collaboration with the teams of each agency. Their wish is to democratise the domestic staff profession, to offer candidates a concrete solution, to work with a team of trainers who bring their know-how, knowledge and skills to the trainees.
Morgan & Mallet School has put together a team of qualified and experienced trainers and assistants who have worked in private property. This team was selected because of their willingness to participate in this project and also to bring their remarkable know-how.
After several months of work and the training certifications obtained, we are now proud to offer three training themes. Training of domestic couple , training of housekeepers, training of housekeepers/nannies and training of luxury nannies/governesses.
We are planning to develop other training courses in the future to strengthen our presence in the field of domestic staff training.
Here are the different steps we have taken to create the Morgan & Mallet courses :
1. Description of our courses
The first step in creating our training courses was to create an outline. This plan had to include the topics we planned to cover, the order in which we planned to cover them and the estimated time for each topic. This plan served as a guide to the creation of your course.
2. Developing the learning objectives
Once we had an overview of your course, it was time to develop the learning objectives. This was an important step as it helped us determine what content to include, how to structure the courses and how to assess our students' progress. When developing your learning objectives, we made sure that they were measurable and achievable.
3. Creating content
It was now time to start creating the content of our training. According to the training and content we created, (creation of scenarios, reading materials, assignments, quizzes, MCQs, role play etc.), we were able to create a course content that would be relevant to the training objectives. When creating our training content, we made sure that it was engaging and relevant to the field of high end housekeeping.
4. Use of different teaching strategies
When teaching our courses, it is important to use different teaching strategies to keep our students engaged. This includes meetings, group work, case studies, problem solving, etc. By using a variety of teaching strategies, you will be able to learn in a meaningful way.
5. Assessment of our students' learning
Throughout the course, it is important to assess our students' learning. This includes questionnaires, tests or other assessments. This helps us to determine whether our students understand the material and it helps us to make necessary changes to the annual development of our courses.
6. Setting up our courses
The creation of our training courses has taken a lot of planning, preparation and thought. By following these steps, we are now able to be the best housekeeping school in Europe!
